Before

We have been making some pretty big changes around here.  We overhauled the basement, and kitchen, and updated the living room as well.  These projects are finally coming to a close and the big reveal will happen soon.  In the meantime here's a look at what we started with.  Sometimes I wonder, why we bought this place.  I think we were looking at the potential.  Now that the work is getting done the house is transforming into something adorable.

The basement:  At first the basement was finished.  Unfortunately we didn't know there was a water problem when we bought.  In the end we had to tear out everything and have it waterproofed before we could start again.

The living room:  There was Berber carpet in here but we pulled that our before we moved our furniture in.

 We used to have a coffee table.  Mark stood on it once and put his foot through it.  Oops.

And the kitchen:  Lots of changes coming here.

We had the floor replaced.  Here is an in process picture.  Pretty scary huh?
